I am utilising my old brown rice to make the perfect garlic fried rice. It will be dry fried rice. This type of fried rice is very popular in Thailand to eat with Thai BBQ or Moo krata.

Ingredients

 

  1. 1 cup of cooked rice (cold or room temperature)
  2. 1 eggs
  3. a Small nut of butter
  4. 2 Tsp cooking oil
  5. 1 Tbsp Maggi sauce
  6. 1 Tbsp chopped garlic
  7. 1/4 Tsp sugar

    a pinch of white pepper

    a pinch of salt ( if needed)

    White Sesame for garnish
    Dry fried garlic for garnish

Method:

  1. Add egg and brown rice in the bowl. Mix them and leave it on the side

2. Heat up the pan. Heat up the cooking oil then add a nut of butter into the pan. Wait until it’s foaming.

3 Add garlic and fry it unitl golden

4 Add rice&egg mix, and sugar. Then stir fry it.

5. When they are mixed and dry, put all rice to one side of the pan

6. Add Maggy sauce

7. Mix rice on the sauce

8. Stir fry them together. Add white pepper. Taste and add salt, if needed.
