Where It All Began
I love Thai food! Before moving to Bangkok to study, I grew up in a fishing town in central Thailand called Samut Sakhon. Being a fisherman’s daughter I learnt early-on how to pick the freshest food and ingredients. Growing up I cooked heavily with my Mum, and was influenced by both Thai and Chinese culture.
When I moved to the UK in 2004, I could not find all my favourite food & ingredients. So I adapted a lot of recipes I had learnt to what was available in the UK. Along with my husband who is a fantastic British cook, we had fun in the kitchen, and created some fusion Thai- British menus. Cooking and eating form a large part of our family life. Along the way I also worked at The Melia, a 4-star hotel in Central London. This introduced me to more formal cooking techniques, food safety, and the pairing of soft and alcoholic drinks with food.
After 6 years in the UK, we moved to Thailand in 2010. We lived and enjoyed learning, eating and cooking more Thai & Asian Cuisines in Thailand until we moved back to the UK in 2017.
Whilst in Thailand I formaliased my love of cooking and earned a qualification in Thai cooking from M.L. Puang Dinakara The Royal Exquisite Thai Cooking School in Bangkok, which is accredited by the Thai Minister of Education and the Thai Minister of Labour. I chose to specialise in Thai cookery and Thai Restaurant Management outside Thailand. I would love to share my passion with everyone. I will show you that you just need to learn some simple concepts in order to make delicious Thai food at home. I’ve tried ingredients from high street supermarkets and specialist supermarkets, and can offer guidance on what works and what doesn’t. It may surprise you that you don’t necessarily need to head to your local Asian supermarket to find all that you need.

My passion of eating, cooking and creating recipes does not stop only at Thai food. I trained professionally at LEITHS School of Food and Wine ( London) for their “Essential Cooking Certificates” which is giving me new cooking skills to the professional level. Exciting skills in international cuisines such as pasta making, basic French cooking and patisseries, basic butchery, baking and bread making, or even baking and cooking for dietary requirements. I make sure that I add all knowledge and cooking techniques into my Thai cooking and Thai cooking classes so you get the most of my classes but it’s simple enough for you to learn and take those skills to cook Thai food by yourself next time.
I also love cooking Chinese food and Japanese food. At the beginning of 2019, I won a place from “Lee Khum Kee – Love Home Taste Chinese New Year Competition” to attend a Master Class with Chef Ken Hom, the world’s most famous Chinese Chef. My dish had been chosen by Chef Ken Hom himself as part of the competition. I am very proud of myself. Click here to see my winning dish recipe.
At the Masterclass with Chef Ken Hom, I learnt new wok skills, and Chinese cooking skills from the dishes such as Savoury Duck with Oyster Sauce and Vegetarian Dan Dan Noodles. It was such a great experience.
We are accredited by, and members of, the Nationwide Catering Association (NCASS). This gives us access to the most up-to-date training, health and safety research and general culinary news. We hope this gives you the confidence to trust us to teach you in a safe, professional, fun and engaging way.
